Chance DE established in 2015 is a housing program for anyone who need a short term house or long term housing. Chance DE gives Drug and Alcohol abuse history, mental health client who needs a temporary place to leave while working on finding a permanent housing.

    Members in each house usually ranges from 3 to 5. Separate houses are set up for males and females.

Chance DE relieves the stress of expensive Hotel & Motel stays and provides a safe and home like setting for all the clients.

Hope housing works along with agencies like connections, Horizon house, NHS, RHD, Meadowwood, Brandywine furniture and Porter state center

 

ADMISSION PROCESS: HOW TO APPLY FOR HOUSING

Chance admits everyone in need of house either long term or short term without going through all the difficulties of looking for a regular rentals. We have made our admission process very simple to give our clients a better place to stay and the fastest and easiest way as possible. There is absolutely no limit how long you can stay at hope house its from 3 month to 12 month and over.

 

To apply a person must be in recovery from alcoholism and/or drug addiction or stabilized mental health under supervision by a counsellor or social worker. any client must complete a standard “Application” and be interviewed by the House managers.

 

INCOME:

You should have an income either from a Job, SSI, Rep payee or family support. Each payment made from the clients is used for the up keep of the house.

 

Find Chance housing in the area you want by checking “Rentals” on the home page of the website.

 

Hints for acceptance include:

[A] show sincerity about recovery,

[B] emphasize regular attendance at 12-Step meetings,

[C] explain how you can pay the equal share of expenses collected monthly basis and the move-in dates [usually equal to the equal share expense] and

[D] be absolutely honest on the application and in the interview because it is very difficult to con fellow addicts in recovery.

[E] be willing to stay and share the house with 2 to 3 people of same sex.

 

Sometimes several individuals will apply to fill one vacancy. If you are not selected, simply try another house with a vacancy. It is not unusual that an individual who gets rejected at one house applies at another house with a vacancy and gets accepted.
